First Look: Meopta RDS Electronic Sight
Meopta USA Inc. is releasing a new lightweight electronic red-dot sight ideal for handgun slides: the Meopta MeoSight IV. The MeoSight IV will not only work as a slide mounted electronic aiming aid, but is also useful for mating with more powerful magnified optics for close-in quick shots.
“We designed the MeoSight IV to significantly increase shooter accuracy and speed whether used in handgun competitions, for personal defense, or in law enforcement situations,” said Erik Muller, Product Specialist, Meopta Sport Optics. “This newest generation MeoSight features premium, scratch-resistant optics and a wide sight picture for such a compact sight, facilitating fast and accurate shooting on the move.”
The Meopta MeoSight IV is a 1X magnified sight with a 3-MOA dot. Both the windage and elevation have an elevation adjustment range of 120 MOA. A CR1632 3-Volt battery powers the sight for up to 30,000 hours. Compatibility comes from the way of a Docter adapter plate and the MeoSight IV is compatible with most handgun slide’s optics ready systems. A Picatinny rail mount is also included from the factory with this optic.
