Despite the ABA’s more than 50-year history of gun control advocacy, Resolution 118B stands out as notably pernicious. The organization has never respected Second Amendment rights, but in order to endorse this resolution the ABA necessarily disregarded constitutionally guaranteed due process protections; something the group purports to cherish and that is a cornerstone of our system of government. The House of Delegates’ actions suggest that when it comes to ABA policymaking, all rights are subservient to the group’s anti-gun bias.

Rather than earning prestige for their onerous gun laws, Australia is achieving notoriety among many Americans for their state and federal governments’ increasingly petty attacks on gun owners. It is at least encouraging that in the midst of this gun control onslaught there are still a handful of Australian politicians that, in the face of unrelenting opposition, oppose further burdening their law-abiding constituents.

It is a fundamental necessity that the American people keep and bear arms. And bearing arms means carrying a firearm with you wherever you go. America’s most recent mass shooting serves as another exclamation point behind that statement.

Abrams’s repeated desperate and fraudulent assertions about her support for the Second Amendment give away the game. It’s clear from Abrams’s own efforts to distract from her well-documented anti-gun record that anything that brings attention to her fanatical positions is a detriment to her candidacy.

A spate of hidden camera videos released by journalist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas shows that many anti-gun candidates are all too eager to carry out gun control organizations’ deceptive strategy.

Not only is a national gun registry a priority for gun control advocates generally, as former Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent and current Giffords Senior Policy Advisor David Chipman made clear to The Hill this week, it is an explicit policy priority for Giffords.

Suffice to say that the Washington Post editorial board shamed itself not only with its opportunistic exploitation of tragedy to promote a political agenda, but by doing so with false, incomplete, and misleading information.

In the end, everyone has an agenda to push, and stories about Christian persecution absolutely do not fit with the narratives that the corporate media are trying to propagate.
