While the New Mexico Legislature will not convene for its 60-day Regular Session until January 15, anti-gun lawmakers who support Bloomberg’s radical gun control agenda have already started pre-filing unprecedented attacks on your Second Amendment rights.

Fearful that the Right to Carry was getting too much good publicity in the wake of an Illinois concealed-carry permit holder’s heroic actions, the Sun-Times editorial board felt it necessary to lecture its readers, “One brave rescue of a Cicero cop doesn’t justify concealed guns.”

Emboldened by the mere thought of controlling the lower chamber, we are already seeing the warning signs of what will come for the next two years.

Today, the synagogues that believe in God, Jews are taking the prophet’s advice. “Do not fear them, remember the Great and Awesome God, fight for your brethren, for your sons and daughters, for your wives and your houses.” (Nehemiah 4:8)

Rather than earning prestige for their onerous gun laws, Australia is achieving notoriety among many Americans for their state and federal governments’ increasingly petty attacks on gun owners. It is at least encouraging that in the midst of this gun control onslaught there are still a handful of Australian politicians that, in the face of unrelenting opposition, oppose further burdening their law-abiding constituents.

The danger facing gun owners is very real. Without a historic effort from pro-gun voters, gun control will be on agendas throughout the country come January. But the threat doesn’t come from a grassroots movement, it comes from a cadre of wealthy elites who are intent on eliminating your fundamental rights.

The GCA is a child of the New Deal and Great Society mindset that places the government as an omnipotent administrator of human affairs. A paradigm shift in ideas is needed to break free from this top-down vision of society. Until then, gun lobbies face an uphill battle.

She may have done so unintentionally, but the movie no doubt shows why those who are could become victims should arm themselves.
