Support for stricter gun laws is strongest among Democrats (87% in favor), and three in five Independents (61%) favor stricter gun laws. A majority of Republicans believe gun laws should be kept as they are (55%). But if you are a true constitutionalist, then you shouldn’t favor any of these laws.
