SDS Imports and Tisas USA are bringing one of Tisas’ original products to the United States, the .380 ACP Fatih pistol.

The .380 ACP chambered Fatih pistol is a Turkish-produced version of the Beretta Model 84 Cheetah, one of Beretta’s iconic blowback pistols. The Tisas Fatih B380 is a classically styled version with wooden stocks and a black cerakote finish. Like the original Beretta Model 84 Cheetah (and the current Beretta 80X Cheetah), the Tisas Fatih B380 also makes use of a 13-round double stack magazine and is dimensionally identical to the Beretta. Tisas set out with the intention of making the B380 a faithful clone from the start, so this also means that Beretta Cheetah holsters should work with the Tisas Fatih.

The .380 ACP cartridge itself has a lot in common with the 9mm, save for a slightly shorter case and that it’s typically loaded with bullets that weigh between 85 to 100 grains, as opposed to the 9mm’s 115 grain to 160-grain projectiles. The .380 ACP is a product of John Moses Browning’s intellect and in many ways, it resembles his .45 ACP case design, albeit scaled down for a shorter length and a .35 caliber diameter bullet. In a practical sense, the .380 ACP does offer the shooter an overall milder “9 mm /.35 caliber” pistol cartridge and can be ideal for newer shooters or those who have a higher sensitivity to noise and recoil.
