Participants are required to compete with a pistol, rifle, and shotgun, or they can compete with pistol-caliber carbine and shotgun in the PCC Division.
Hotel rooms can be reserved at the Boarders Inn and Suites, 3333 Ramada Road, Grand Island, Neb. Mention Zombies in the Heartland to receive a reduced rate.
Operated by the Grand Island Parks and Recreation Department, the Heartland Public Shooting Park is the largest and most complete public shooting facility in the Midwest. The facility hosts regional and national events, drawing shooters from across the globe.
Hornady and the Heartland Public Shooting Park are soliciting support for the match. Anyone interested in sponsorship, needing additional information or with questions regarding the match, can contact Sponsorship Coordinator Emily Mierau by e-mailing [email protected]. There will be an abridged sponsor match on Thursday, June 2, followed by a reception and prize table at the end of the day for industry participants at Riverside Golf Course.
Full details on the event are available on the Zombies in the Heartland website, or you can follow the event’s Facebook page. The event was first held in 2011 and has grown to become a favorite among enthusiasts. Expertise isn’t required to participate, either.
