Kimber has extended its R7 Mako and Micro 9 promotions through Oct. 31. New owners of the pistols qualify to receive $100 or $50 Kimber Store credits, or a free seven-round TacMag, respectively.

Enthusiasts who purchase a Kimber R7 Mako OI, optics installed, receive the $100 Kimber store credit. Those buying an optics ready (OR) version qualify for a $50 merchandise credit.

To redeem the offer, new owners simply confirm their purchase on Kimber’s website. After verification, the company’s customer service team then issues a discount code via e-mail. It is then redeemed at checkout on the firm’s online store, with the credit applied to any order. The discount comes with a one-time use code and no remaining funds will be available after use of the credit. It’s only applicable online at the Kimber Store and cannot be used for phone orders or redeemed for cash value.

Enthusiasts who buy a new Kimber Micro 9 pistol can receive a free seven-round TacMag, retail value $53.95, by confirming their purchase on the Kimber website. They, in turn, will also receive a code via e-mail to use on the Kimber Store to receive the magazine. To avoid confusion at checkout, the company reminds owners that parts No. 1200851A Micro 9, 7-Round TacMag is not for use in RAPIDE Micro 9 pistols and No. 1200930A Micro 9, 7-Round RAPIDE TacMag is not for use in standard Micro 9 pistols.

The R7 Mako OI is a solid choice for anyone looking for a new pistol according to Tamera Keel’s review for Shooting Illustrated. “When I first popped open the case and looked at this pistol, I was primed to dislike it,” she wrote. “Over the course of a total of half a case of ammo, it has earned my grudging respect. It’s been reliable, easy to shoot well and it’s small and light. The price is hardly out of line with the other name-brand offerings in the market niche, especially in the optics-included version.”

The Micro9 has also gained faithful following among experienced enthusiasts and it’s being carried by a variety of those working in the gun industry.
