New For 2022: Mauser M18 Savanna
Blaser Group announced the release of a new variant of the Mauser M18 bolt-action rifle to the American market: the Mauser M18 Savanna. Like the pre-existing rifles in the lineup, the M18 Savanna comes with a cold hammer-forged barrel made from German-sourced steel. At the end of the barrel, the muzzle is threaded to accept muzzle devices or suppressors, with the thread pitch available in 1/2 x 28″ or 9/16 x 24″. A thread protector comes attached to the muzzle from the factory.
The action of the M18 Savanna features a 60-degree throw, oversized bolt, which uses three locking lugs and two extractor pins in its construction. The trigger is adjustable, with a pull weight range of 2.25 lbs. to 4.25 lbs. Ammunition is fed into the action from a standard five-round internal box magazine, though 10-round magazines are also available separately. It is also available in nine different calibers, including .223 Rem., .308 Win. and .300 Win. Mag. For furniture, the M18 Savanna comes with a synthetic Savanna tan stock, which can accept grip inserts to better adapt to a wide range of users. It has a suggested retail price of $850 and is backed with a 10-year warranty.
