New For 2024: SIG Sauer P322-COMP
As the company did with its famous P226 model, SIG Sauer built on the popularity of its P320 line of handguns by introducing a .22 rimfire version, the P322, in 2022. New for 2024, SIG is expanding its P322 line-up by offering the competition-ready P322-COMP.
The SIG P322-COMP takes the standard P322 and makes it competition-ready by adding a compensator, red dot sight, extended controls and an extended magazine.
The P322-COMP’s two-tone finish is unique in SIG’s P322 line-up.

The SIG P322-COMP has the same basic features as the standard P322. It is a polymer-frame, blowback-operated, semi-automatic pistol. Controls are ambidextrous and, although it appears to be striker-fired, the design actually uses a concealed hammer and fires in single-action mode, which necessitates the use of a manual safety. The pistol has a Picatinny accessory rail on the frame’s dustcover and comes from the factory optics-ready with a Shield RMSc footprint. The standard P322 is also offered with a SIG ROMEOZero Elite red-dot sight installed from the factory and with a coyote-brown finish.
All P322s come from the factory with a threaded barrel, and the P322-COMP is equipped with a factory-installed two-port compensator.
The “COMP” in the model designation stands for two things—“compensator” and “competition.” The P322-COMP uses the same 4″ barrel as the standard P322, which comes from the factory with its muzzle threaded for use with suppressors or other muzzle devices, and has a factory-installed two-port muzzle compensator. As a SIG ROMEOZero Elite red-dot optic comes installed from the factory, the front fiber optic sight is included, but a rear iron sight is not (though the ROMEOZero Elite has a built-in rear sight notch).
Among the P322-COMP’s competition-ready features is an extended takedown lever that provides a thumb rest.
A slide racker extends off both sides of the slide to facilitate quick reloads. The alloy slide is given a clear anodized finish for a two-tone appearance. An extended “sport” takedown lever provides a thumb rest, and the reversible magazine release is extended. Both flat and curved trigger shoes are supplied. In addition to the standard 20-round P322 magazine, the P322-COMP is also supplied with an extended 25-round magazine. The addition of a compensator adds an extra inch to the pistol’s overall length and, at 19.8 ozs., it weighs two ounces more than a standard, red-dot-equipped, P322.
Other special features on the P322-COMP include a slide racker, extended magazine release and extended magazine.
The SIG Sauer P322-COMP has a MSRP of $700. For more information, visit sigsauer.com.
