Preview: WM&T SME Slimline
The Sound Mitigation Equipment (SME) Slimline, manufactured by Witt Machine & Tool, pairs an effective three-chambered muzzle brake with an external shroud that quickly attaches via external threading.
Both made from 416 stainless steel, the brake (which can be run on the gun by itself) dampens recoil, while the shroud directs ignition gases forward—moderately reducing the perceived report of the firearm for the shooter in a way that doesn’t require ATF regulation.
The SME Slimline is available finished in Graphite Black or Flat Dark Earth and threaded either 1/2×28 TPI or 5/8×24 TPI, and it is available drilled for use with five different calibers. MSRP is $175.
