A disgruntled former employee of an Arlington, Texas, Honda dealership who attempted to shoot his former employees with a long gun was driven back by a dealership service advisor who had a gun and opened fire on the armed assailant.

Police say the 25-year-old suspect walked into the dealership lot with a “long-style rifle” and opened fire on the building. One employee who witnessed the incident said, “I heard one of my friends say, ‘Hey, he has a gun.’ I look up and look him right in the face, and he has a blank, very calm face. [He] points the gun, it’s a big gun like an AR … he turns and just shoots right at the window.”

The armed suspect then approached the dealer service area, where he encountered the service advisor, who drew his gun and opened fire. Police arrived on scene as the 25-year-old was driven out of the service building by the armed employee. The assailant then approached officers with the long gun and was shot by police. Nobody was hurt in the incident, except the suspect, who has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
