Two residents of a south Philadelphia, Pa., home thwarted two men who were allegedly attempting to break into their residence on Monday, June 27, 2022.
According to authorities, the two alleged robbers targeted and forced their way into the home that afternoon, but were confronted by two men who were residents. During this confrontation, the two residents both armed themselves and opened fire on the pair, striking and wounding both.

Officers found both would-be burglars, who were in their late 20s to early 30s, unresponsive inside the home when they arrived. Both of the stricken intruders were taken to the hospital, where they died of their injuries. The incident promoted some of the neighbors in the area to ponder to themselves, “Maybe I should go buy a gun.” (cbsnews.com, Philadelphia, Pa., 06/27/2022)

When a knife-wielding robber attempted to grab Eliud Franco’s holstered revolver at his Rochester, N.Y., grocery store, Franco drew the gun and fired, wounding the assailant.
