Winchester Ammunition employees contributed more than 21,000 hours of community service across the East Alton, IL, Independence, MO, and Oxford, MS, communities in 2023 alone. With a dedicated team of approximately 3,500, Winchester actively engaged in a variety of initiatives, demonstrating the company’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact that stretches well beyond its business operations.

Winchester volunteer activities spanned a diverse range of causes. Efforts that benefited youth-based programs included Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy Scouts of America, 4-H and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Each provide a positive environment to learn and grow while attaining life skills for life.

The future leaders of this great Republic weren’t the only ones to benefit from Winchester in 2023. The American Red Cross and Community Blood Center received donations of lifesaving blood. The Salvation Army, K.C. Harvesters and GlenED food pantries also received welcome boosts. Their programs help those in need and aid anyone grappling with food insecurity in these troubling financial times.

Winchester team members also worked with Animal Shelters in Independence, MO and Oxford, MS. Both organizations provide quality care and find forever homes for animals in need.

The challenges faced by those who stood on the front line of freedom to protect our way of life, and honor them, weren’t forgotten by the team at Winchester, either. Its staff members loaned a hand to The Veteran’s Community Project, Wreaths Across America and Fold’s of Honor last year.

Employees from all levels of the organization enthusiastically participated, showcasing Winchester’s collective dedication to giving back to the communities where it operates. “At Winchester, we embrace the importance of community service,” Winchester President Brett Flaugher said. “The remarkable efforts of our employees reflect our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. We are proud of their dedication to build stronger, more vibrant communities.”

The impact of Winchester’s community service initiatives extends beyond mere volunteer hours. By actively participating in various projects, employees have forged stronger connections with local organizations and residents, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration—a business approach too scarce today.
