Some of the firearm and outdoor industry’s finest provide financial and product support for the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP), and their number continues to grow along with their commitment to the future of the sport and discipline it instills. Remington Ammunition, for example, recently announced its sponsorship—another of the legends at Platinum level.

“This collaboration reflects Remington’s dedication and investment in the next generation,” said Remington Ammunition Senior Manager of Community Relations Jon Zinnel. “Big Green strongly values its outdoor heritage and is honored to contribute to its continuation through our partnership with the Scholastic Action Shooting Program.”

CCI is continuing its dedicated support and participated as a Platinum-level sponsor of the 2023 SASP National Championships. The national event was recently held at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio, which was attended by thousands of youth participants from dozens of states.

The lessons the program delivers to America’s youth haven’t escaped the notice of the U.S. military, either. “Army ROTC is proud to sponsor the Scholastic Action Shooting Program,” said Joshua Lutz from the 7th Brigade of Army ROTC. “We believe that SASP teaches young adults important character traits and values that help them develop into well-rounded individuals.”

“We are honored to have the support of the Army ROTC this season and look forward to a partnership for years to come,” said Rick Leach, SASP National Director. “Our mission to help create responsible and outstanding citizens is a rewarding one and the Army ROTC’s support helps us continue that and provide additional opportunities for these young athletes.”

The Scholastic Action Shooting Program provides a competitive sporting environment for participants ranging from grade school to college. Students not only develop their skills, but also foster lasting friendships. The program aims to create a level playing field where individuals can grow, compete and build relationships that will last a lifetime.
