Biden Now Has Gun-Control Activists Employed in the White House
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced the establishment of what this administration has dubbed the “Office of Gun Violence Prevention.”
“[T]he Office of Gun Violence Prevention along with the rest of my Administration will continue to do everything it can to combat the epidemic of gun violence,” reads a statement from Biden on this administration’s latest action.
This newly created office will be overseen by Harris, whom Biden has tipped to be the “leading voice” for the administration’s push for more gun control in the pair’s reelection efforts. “I’m establishing the first-ever White House Office of gun Violence Prevention, overseen by Vice President @KamalaHarris, to build upon our historic work to keep guns out of dangerous hands and Americans safe,” wrote Biden on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The office’s director will be longtime Biden aide Stefanie Feldman, who, as America’s 1st Freedom previously reported, led the policy efforts for the 2020 Biden/Harris ticket and routinely voiced her animus for constitutionally-protected freedoms. It will also include Robert Wilcox, a former senior director of the anti-gun group Everytown for Gun Safety, as deputy director. Wilcox also worked for the anti-gun group Brady.
“[W]hat is clear is that Biden is determined to use the White House’s own (apparently vast) budget to employ professional gun-control advocates at the public’s expense,” reported the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (ILA).
Biden also indicated his intent to “push for Congress to do more,” and reiterated his desire to ban constitutionally-protected, commonly-owned semi-automatic rifles, as well as what he deems to be “high-capacity magazines.”
“We’re not stopping here. Again, it’s — I’ll say it again. I’m not going to be quiet until we get it done: It’s time again to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. If you need 80 shots in a magazine, you shouldn’t own a gun,” said Biden.
What the president doesn’t mention is that he has called for bans on magazines holding more than 10 rounds. Moreover, a congressionally-mandated study found that the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons ban that Biden so often touts—and voted in favor of nearly 30 years ago when he was a U.S. senator—had little, if any, effect on crime rates throughout the country before it sunset in 2004.
A statement from the White House also reiterated Biden’s desire to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, something the president has said is the “one thing” he’d ask God for.
Vice President Harris added, “It’s a false choice to suggest you either have to choose between supporting the Second Amendment or passing reasonable gun safety laws. That’s a false choice.”
Of course, Biden has made similar claims, but this administration’s repeated attacks on law-abiding Americans suggests otherwise.
Predictably, gun-control proponents were happy with the creation of this office.
“The Biden-Harris continues (sic) to deliver on its promise to prioritize gun safety; with this new policy announcement, they have now accomplished more on the issue of gun safety than any other administration in history,” wrote Shannon Watts, founder of the Bloomberg-funded Moms Demand Action, on X.
“The @WhiteHouse is the People’s House, so it’s only fitting that the Biden-Harris Administration is launching a new office focused on one of the American people’s top concerns: keeping their families safe from gun violence,” wrote John Feinblatt, president of Everytown.
These comments from Biden, Harris, and gun-control activists are an announcement of a direct attack on law-abiding gun owners. Background checks for the purchase of a firearm have exceeded one million per month for nearly 50 straight months, according to data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Constitutional carry has also spread throughout more than half the country in recent years, even though Biden and company continue to insist that their anti-freedom efforts are what Americans want. Polls also show that a majority of Americans are against banning common and lawfully-owned semi-automatic rifles.
The “Office of Gun Violence Prevention” is no more than an attempt by this administration to employ professional gun-control advocates and amplify its propaganda with taxpayer dollars, as noted by NRA-ILA.
“The White House Office of so-called ‘Gun Violence Prevention’ is yet another distraction, crafted to divert America’s and the media’s gaze from the Biden crime wave and their soft-on-crime policies destroying our communities. Instead of confronting the real challenges and holding accountable the DAs who turn a blind eye to crime, this administration unfairly targets law-abiding citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights. It’s becoming increasingly clear that this office is a puppeteering maneuver by the gun control lobby, designed to dismantle our Second Amendment rights,” said NRA-ILA Executive Director Randy Kozuch in a statement.
America’s 1st Freedom will continue to keep you informed of all anti-Second Amendment actions taken by this administration, this newly created office and more.
