CVA has announced the Cascade XT (X-Treme), a bolt-action rifle that sports weight-reducing barrel fluting and a radial muzzle break as standard equipment. This makes the XT very comfortable to shoot both on the range and in the field, even in heavier calibers, despite a starting weight of a mere 7.15 pounds.

The #5 taper barrel is made from 4140 carbon steel and finished in Cerakote Graphite Black. Its stock is decorated in the Realtree Hillside pattern, creating a concealment combination the works in various types of terrain. CVA makes adding a scope to this new Cascade XT simple, as it comes with a two-piece mount.

The XT’s tactical-style bolt knob benefits the shooter by giving better leverage, which ensures smooth and rapid bolt manipulation. Also, the XT features a threaded muzzle, making it ready for a brake or suppressor whenever you are. The two-position safety is conveniently located for natural and instantaneous operation, while loading is a breeze with its four-round (short action) and flush-fit detachable magazine.

Calibers being released with a 22-inch barrel include 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, 450 Bushmaster and 350 Legend. In addition, the 6.5 PRC, 7mm Rem. Mag. and .300 Win. Mag. are available, featuring a 24-inch barrel. Look for other additional caliber offerings in the near future.
