CZ 557 Eclipse
The CZ 557 Eclipse from CZ-USA is the Czech company’s most recent advancement toward a budget-based bolt-action that is built to appeal to American hunters and sport shooters alike. CZ’s 557 Eclipse is an extension of the 557 lineup with components that create a shorter and more economical configuration.

This push-feed bolt-action is offered in a black synthetic stock that supplies an enlarged grip and contoured panels for purchase. A generous rubber butt-pad along with three swivel studs molded into the polymer come standard. A hinged floor-plate on the bottom of the internal, five-round magazine is supplied, too.

CZ-USA utilizes a machined-steel receiver for its 557 Eclipse that provides users with integral optic mounting. The receiver’s dovetail is 19-mm wide and provides a recoil lug to ensure a secure optical footprint. CZ offers its cold-hammer-forged steel barrel cut to 20.5”. It is important to note that only 6.5 mm Creedmoor units will supply 5/8×24 t.p.i. muzzle threads and protector.

Our experience on the range with the CZ 557 Eclipse proved the rifle offers best features of the CZ 557 line into a handier package at a more affordable price.
