Editor’s Choice: Colt CBX

COLT has entered an entirely new category with its CBX—a bolt-action precision rifle that, thanks to the Colt/CZ Group partnership, shares bolt geometry with the CZ Model 600. This is a slick 60-degree design, and Colt created its own version for the CBX.

As introduced, the CBX is intended as a long-range or PRS rifle, and it rides in a chassis stock from MDT. The flat-bottomed receiver is Colt’s own design, and barrel length will depend on which chambering you choose: 22″ in .308 Win. or 24″ in 6.5 mm Creedmoor. The stock’s fore-end features an ARCA rail on the bottom that allows simple friction to move a bipod or other accessory along its 15″ length—and there are M-Lok slots on each side.

I have shot it, and the CBX lives up to its sub-m.o.a. accuracy guarantee. For more information, visit colt.com.
