Editor’s Choice: FN 510 Tactical
Based on the striker-fired FN 509 and built on an all-new frame, the gun has a cold-hammer-forged 4.71″ threaded barrel. Sights are dovetailed and are suppressor-height with tritium inserts. The rear of the steel slide assembly has an optics plate that can be removed and replaced with a red-dot, forward of the rear sight that can be used to co-witness through the optic.
Four mounting plates and two replaceable backstraps come standard. Magazine capacity is 10, 15 or 22 rounds; the latter has a collar that extends below the frame. Available in either black or flat dark earth, the polymer frame includes bilateral slide locks. Overall length is 8.3″, and the FN 510 weighs in at 32 ozs., which will help tame the recoil of the 10 mm.
