Editor’s Choice: Mossberg Patriot LR Tactical
Mossberg’s Patriot rifle line came onto the scene in 2015, and since then, the affordable bolt guns have been offered in a range of different guises. The latest from Mossberg caters to the long-range PRS crowd, having an adjustable stock designed by Modular Driven Technologies and being chambered in .308 Win., 6.5 mm Creedmoor or 6.5 mm PRC.
The barreled action is free-floated in the stock, thanks to the V-bedding system, and the platform also accommodates detachable, AICS-pattern box magazines. The polymer stock is adjustable for both length of pull and comb height, and it also features a black, textured vertical grip and M-Lok attachment slots on the flat-bottomed fore-end.
Other features include a Picatinny optics rail with 20 m.o.a. of built-in elevation, as well as an oversized bolt knob and a spiral-fluted bolt. The rifle is also equipped with Mossberg’s LBA Adjustable Trigger, which is user-adjustable from 2 to 7 lbs.
