Smith & Wesson has decided to go old school with its new CSX pistol. The aluminum-frame, external-hammer-fired, single-action 9 mm semi-automatic has a 3.1″ barrel and holds either 10 or 12 rounds depending on the magazine you choose.

The grip angle is 18 degrees, and Smith includes interchangeable, textured backstraps to better fit each individual’s hand. The trigger is flat-faced and has a safety built into the blade. The CSX also comes with bilateral manual safeties on the frame, the position of which will be familiar to fans of the M1911.

The gun has a stainless-steel slide, blackened with an Armornite treatment, and it weighs 19.5 ozs. and measures 6.1″ long overall. For more information, please visit smith-wesson.com.
