Blackhound Optics out of Tucson, Arizona is releasing a new line of first-focal-plane 34mm main body tube diameter optics, known as the Emerge series.

Currently, Blackhound Optics has four different riflescopes in their Emerge collection, two with MOA-based reticles and two that are MIL-based. All four riflescopes have 34mm main body tubes, along with a 56mm objective lens. All are also built with high-quality Japanese-made high definition glass and include Front Focal Plane (FFP)reticles. First-focal-plane reticles are ever-increasing in popularity these days and are typically associated with higher-end scopes since the manufacturing process can be more involved to create them. Many shooters favor FFP because the size of the reticle is proportionally consistent at each level of variable magnification, and can facilitate finding the distance to a downrange target.

In the Emerge line, two models of scopes have a variable zoom capability from 4x magnification through 32x magnification while the other two have a zoom capability of 3x magnification through 24x magnification.

Emerge Riflescope Features:

  • 34mm body diameter tubes
  • FFP construction
  • 56mm objective lens
  • Exposed textured knurled turrets with zero-stop
  • Aluminum construction with Type III hard anodizing
  • Illuminated MOA/MIL reticles
  • CR 2032 battery
  • 1/10 Mil or ¼ MOA click values
  • 5 inch eye relief
  • Picatinny scope rings
  • Tools and bubble levels necessary to mount scope
  • Unconditional Lifetime Warranty

Retail pricing for the Blackhound Optics Emerge line of front focal plane riflescopes starts at $1,599 and ranges through $1,799 depending on the model. All Blackhound Optics riflescopes are rigorously tested twice. Once at the factory, and one more time when they arrive to the United States from Japan. Each riflescope includes its own quality assurance and testing card. In addition, every riflescope sold by Blackhound Optics includes Blackhound’s unconditional lifetime warranty.
