Ed Brown Products, a Missouri company known for its 1911 handguns and 1911 parts, is partnering with Hogue, Inc. to bring a series of high-end knives to market. The first blade from their collaboration is the ABLE Lock Folder knife.

The ABLE Lock Folder is a full size tactical folding knife with an overall length of 7.5 inches that has a clip-point blade with ambidextrous opening thumb studs. The blade itself measures 3 ¼ inches and is built with cryogenically heat-treated CPM 20CV Stainless Steel with a 59-61 HRC rating. The blade is also finished with a black Cerakote treatment, and the keen edge has a flat grind and is also hand honed.

The grips are made from G10, a very durable polymer material that is often used in knife grips and also in modern pistol grips. The grip features a snake-like scale pattern and is made from a combination of black, drab green, olive green and other hues to replicate the pattern of a timber rattlesnake. The knife is designed for tip-up carry with a reversible pocket clip. A round slot can be found near the edge of the grip for use with a lanyard if so desired.
