There are two schools of thought when it comes to inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters. There are those who prefer a hybrid pistol holster that combines a hard Kydex shell with a soft natural or synthetic backing. These two materials provide an attractive level of comfort and security. However, a hybrid holster relies on the pressure of your body against the holster to hold your gun in place. A Kydex holster, on the other hand, allows for fast re-holstering and secure carrying of your gun, but can be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Galco is bridging that gap between a Kydex holster and a hybrid holster with the new MyCloud holster pad. The Mycloud is designed to help people who use a Kydex holster have the all day long comfort of a hybrid holster, with the security and safety of a Kydex holster.

The MyCloud attaches to virtually any Kydex IWB holster and provides greatly enhanced comfort, using the same Comfort Cloth technology as Galco’s successful line of high-performance Cloud IWB holsters.

The 4×6-inch, contoured pad of the MyCloud is made from closed cell foam with the loop portion of hook and lock cloth on the front. The section of the pad that rides against the wearer is lined with Comfort Cloth, an Adaptive Performance Mesh that provides padding for you and moisture-wicking for your gun. There are five circular, adhesive hook fasteners provided to attach your gun to the pad. To use MyCloud with your Kydex IWB holster, simply adhere the hook circles to the holster and position the holster on the contoured pad, allowing any IWB gun carrier can make their EDC holster even more comfortable.

MSRP for the MyCloud holster pad is $23, and more information on this product and other gear from Galco, please visit galcousa.com.
