Leimke, a German based company that sells high definition thermal imaging optics, is now offering its Luchs 1 and Luchs 2 thermal riflescopes to American gun owners. The Luchs thermal optics are named after the German word for “lynx”, the predatory feline which excels as a night hunter due to their extremely light-sensitive eyesight. The Luchs 1 has a thermal imaging effective range of 1,750 meters while the Luchs 2 tops out at 2,500 meters.

“Liemke is the top thermal optics brand in Germany, and the new German-made Luchs line raises the bar even higher when it comes to quality and performance,” said Jason Evans, the CEO of Blaser Group USA. “American hunters will recognize and appreciate the premium ‘Made In Germany’ construction, advanced thermal technology and high definition performance the Luchs thermal optics deliver. Aptly named after the German word for lynx, the Luchs 1 and 2 models deliver outstanding thermal night vision for hunters.”

The Luchs series optics are user friendly, with easily adjustable settings that are also easily saved and available any time these devices are shut down and turned on again. The external housing of each optic is designed from aluminum and has an IP67 rating for dust resistance and waterproofing. For added durability, the objective lens on these units is protected by a DLC (diamond like coating) that is scratch proof.
