First Look: Primary Arms SLx 3-18x50mm Optic
Primary Arms Optics has just released a new, second generation version of the SLx 3-18x50mm first focal plane (FFP) full size riflescope.

Riflescopes in the 3-18 magnification range are suitable for a wide variety of rifle calibers and a broad spectrum of shooting applications, from hunting and plinking to precision shooting out to moderate distances (1,000 to 1,200 yards). Primary Arms Optics is offering three different ACSS reticle options with this new second generation SLx, including the ACSS Athena BPR MIL, ACSS Apollo .308/6.5 Grendel, and ACSS Apollo 6.5CR/.224V. Another area where Primary Arms Optics focused its efforts on this second generation model was revamping the scope’s turrets. The upgraded turrets are more precise and give shooters even better tactical feedback from the clicks as you dial the turrets. Primary Arms Optics also includes a rifle zero lock in system called the Easy Stop so shooters can dial and take shots as needed without losing their indexing zero, allowing for repeatable, precise adjustments in the field.

This riflescope features a First Focal Plane reticle, which is a hallmark found on most all upper-end precision scopes. With an FFP reticle, the reticle itself shrinks or grows as the shooter adjusts their magnification, but all reticle stadia lines and subtensions remain true and proportional.
