Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has announced 36 new configurations of the Ruger American Rifle Generation II, which includes 18 configurations of the new Predator variant. Predator rifles are available in the full Gen II caliber assortment, from traditional predator calibers like .204 Ruger all the way up to magnum thumpers like the .300 Winchester Magnum. This makes the gun a perfect choice whether chasing Coyotes, or out targeting bigger game.

Generation II Predator models feature a durable, Burnt Bronze Cerakote barreled action and an attractive green stock textured with black and bronze splatter for grip and control in the field. The longer, 22-inch medium contour, cold hammer-forged barrel features deep spiral fluting on most models, improving the balance of the rifle without sacrificing rigidity or accuracy. Its threaded muzzle boasts a factory-installed radial muzzle brake, that can—of course—be removed for the addition of a suppressor. Atop its Cerakoted receiver rides a full-length stretch of Picatinny rail, for the fast and easy addition of any optic of the shooter’s choice, from magnified optics to reflex sights.

The American Gen II builds on the reliability and accuracy of the original Ruger American Rifle with improved ergonomics centered around its raised and rubberized comb; a three-position safety with locking bolt, which helps keep cartridges safe and secure when trekking through the woods; a stainless steel bolt to resist corrosion; and a more rigidly built stock. The newly introduced Predator rifles, combined with the launch of 11 new Standard models and seven new Ranch models in various calibers, round out the American Rifle Gen II lineup. This lineup includes a complete array of Standard, Ranch and Predator models in 47 configurations and 20 calibers.
