Stoeger recently introduced the new STR-9S Combat Pistol, an extension of Stoeger’s recent entry into the striker fire arena. The Combat is chambered in 9 mm and features performance upgrades including high suppressor sights, threaded barrel, flared mag well, optics-ready slide, three backstraps, and three magazines.

Featuring a corrosion-resistant black nitride finish, the STR-9S Combat also includes interchangeable backstrap grips for a custom fit, and a 4.17-inch, threaded barrel to attach a suppressor for quiet shooting. Recoil is said to be reduced thanks to a low bore axis for easier follow-up shots.

Need to throw on accessories? The accessory rail hangs a variety of lasers and lights intended to make target identification and acquisition easier. In addition to the rail, the slide is already cut for an optic and accepts a variety of red dots. Plus, the taller fiber optic suppressor sights allow for co-witness with many of the most popular models.

And for all the lefties out there, the magazine release is reversible. Speaking of magazines, the pistol comes with 20 rounders standard and 10 rounders for states with capacity restrictions. For additional ease of operation, aggressive front and back slide serrations provide a firm grasp with or without gloves. The STR-9S Combat features what the company says is a smooth-pulling, crisp trigger and features an internal safety for extra security.

The grip on the pistol is angled for optimal recoil management and quick siting and features three interchangeable backstraps for a custom fit.
