First Look: Vudoo Gunworks Möbius 1911 Pistol
Vudoo Gunworks, known for its boutique rimfire firearms, is now entering the 1911 handgun game, with four different 1911 handguns in their Möbius product family. Three of these pistols are chambered in either .45 ACP or 9mm. The fourth is a nod to Vudoo’s expertise in custom rimfire firearms and is exclusively chambered for .22 LR rimfire cartridges.
All four Möbuis pistols were built with a different approach that uses alternative manufacturing methods originating from the air and space industry. According to Vudoo Gunworks, by flipping the script they are able to build 1911 pistols with very precise tolerances that require less hand fitting as compared to traditionally built custom 1911 pistols. These advancements have led to precise and reliable operation, smooth fit and finish, and lead times that are measured in weeks rather than months.
The Möbius 1911 pistols chambered for either 9mm or .45 ACP are traditionally configured with their slides cut for the Novak style dovetail, and Novak sights ship standard with each pistol. Stainless, all-black or two-tone finishes are available options.

The rimfire Möbius pistol is Vudoo’s creative interpretation of a rimfire 1911 that is guaranteed to print groups measuring less than one inch at 50 yards using match grade ammunition. The top of the slide also features an entire Picatinny rail section making this an optics ready pistol. Given that the bottom half of this pistol is identical to the other guns in the Möbius line, Vudoo Gunworks is also planning on selling this rimfire top-end as a conversion kit.
