Joaquin Jackson was an icon within the legendary Texas Rangers, having served from 1966 until 1993, as well as a prominent NRA board member. He became famous after his appearance on the cover of Texas Monthly in February 1994, in which he held a classic long gun: the Winchester Model 94.

Throughout several decades, Jackson made it a personal mission to collect one Model 94 rifle from each production year from 1894 until 1964. It took him 36 years to complete the collection, but, ultimately, his array of 71 rifles provided a comprehensive look at the commercial life of this popular Winchester lever-action.

Now, this remarkable collection is coming up for auction, giving Texas Ranger fans and Winchester collectors alike a rare opportunity to get their hands on the results of Jackson’s longtime passion for the Model 94.
