Cosaint Arms, an American pistol manufacturer headquartered in Flat Rock, NC, announced it will offer a double-stack, Commander-size variant of John Browning’s M1911 pistol chambered for 9 mm Luger. The new COS21 from Cosaint Arms is a hybrid 1911 that features the company’s modular system.

The synthetic material used to manufacture the grip frame of the COS21 pistol provides a lighter-weight design with increased ammunition capacity. Consaint Arms partnered with MBX for its American-made 126 mm magazine with capacity for 20 rounds of 9 mm Luger. Two magazines are included with each COS21 pistol.

Cosaint Arms relies on anodized 7075 aluminum for its frame assembly that is the foundation for the gun’s slide and grip frame. In addition, the aluminum frame supplies a Picatinny rail for accessories. The grip frame features a stippled grip for enhanced purchase, and a trigger guard with texturing on its front face comes standard. Cosaint Arms supplies a single, left-side safety lever and extended magazine release actuator. An upswept, extended beavertail grip safety with an extended memory bump comes standard, too.

Accuracy for the Commander-length COS21 is aided by a supplied 4.25” bull barrel and fiber-optic pipe dovetailed to the front of the steel slide. A square-notch rear sight comes standard that features a racking ledge for tactical applications. Cerakote Tungsten and Black finish is supplied to add longevity by providing added corrosion resistance.

MSRP for the COS21 9 mm pistol is set for $2,000. To learn more about the COS1 double-stack 1911, please visit cosaintarms.com.
