POF-USA introduced its new 9 mm large-format handgun, the Phoenix. Designed and built from the ground up, the Phoenix promises to be a smooth-shooting 9 mm perfect for plinking, yet designed and built for professionals.

The Phoenix ships as a pistol with a Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver, which gives the user plenty of options for adding a pistol brace or mounting a sling-attachment point if they so choose. It also has a full-length rail atop the receiver for mounting a reflex optic and/or iron sights.

Working off a proven, direct-blowback operating system adapted with POF-USA’s enhancements, the Phoenix also promises outstanding reliability. The upper and lower receiver are built from aerospace-grade aluminum, and the Phoenix is completely ambidextrous, with familiar AR-15-style controls. It is also compatible with AR-15 mil-spec triggers, grips and selectors. The monolithic upper receiver is M-Lok compatible, with an ambidextrous forward charging handle and integrated sling mounts.

“We’re extremely pleased with the final result and couldn’t be happier to bring another one of Frank DeSomma’s visions to the market. He worked tirelessly on this design over the years, and the team couldn’t be more proud to finish it.” said Jeremy Selting, POF-USA’s vice president of sales and marketing.

The Phoenix will be shipping in the first quarter of 2022 and comes with a proprietary 35-round magazine, magazine loader, dual-chamber muzzle brake, single-point adjustable sling and hand stop.
