With its Wrangler revolverRuger provided firearm enthusiasts with an affordable, reliable rimfire revolver styled like the classic single-action guns of the Old West. Now, the latest addition to the Wrangler lineup enhances the Wild West aesthetic with a birdshead grip frame and a shortened barrel in a package that’s still affordable and reliable.

Like the original Wrangler, the birdshead model is chambered for .22 Long Rifle and features a six-round cylinder in a single-action platform. The mechanism features a transfer-bar safety and a loading-gate interlock to guard against an accidental discharge. Each gun is built with a cold-hammer-forged barrel and is treated with a Cerakote finish. Black, flat dark earth and silver finishes are available.

Separating the new birdshead model from the original Ruger Wrangler is the addition of a contoured grip frame complete with synthetic birdshead grip panels. Additionally, the barrel has been shortened from 4.62″ to 3.75″ in the new model. Each pistol still retains the single-action spur hammer, as well as the blade front sight and integrated notch in the topstrap of the revolver frame.

The suggested retail price of the new Ruger Wrangler birdshead model is $279. For more information, visit ruger.com.
