New For 2022: Springfield Armory Emissary 4.25″
New for 2022, the custom styling touches of Springfield Armory’s Emissary 1911 are now available in a more compact, carry-friendly package. This new 9 mm Luger-chambered variant of the Emissary is equipped with a 4.25″ barrel and slide sitting atop the full-size frame, emulating the popular Commander-size package that provides some ease of carry without sacrificing magazine capacity or a full-size grip.
Like other options in the Emissary lineup, the 4.25″ model has a two-tone look, featuring a blued, carbon-steel slide mated to a stainless-steel frame. The frame, slide and match-grade bull barrel are all made from forged steel for durability, and the gun is equipped with a commander-length recoil system. Other standout features include the distinctive tri-top slide, rear cocking serrations, skeletonized hammer and the flat-faced, unibody trigger sitting inside the squared-off trigger guard.
On the frame, Springfield includes a pair of thinline G10 stocks from VZ Grips, along with the upgraded addition of generous texturing on the front strap and mainspring housing for added grip. Each pistol is equipped with a tritium-illuminated front sight and a U-notch rear sight with a flat-faced, “tactical rack” front edge. The gun ships with two nine-round magazines.
Suggested retail pricing on the Springfield Armory Emissary 4.25″ is $1,349. For more information, visit springfield-armory.com.
