Available chambered in 7.62×39 mm and 5.56 mm NATO calibers, the MCX-REGULATOR is an aluminum-framed rifle with a gas-piston operating system, and sports a Magpul SGA Mossberg 500/590 traditional stock in a Gen II NiR FDE Cerakote (for reduced IR signature). It also features a redesigned lower receiver that is compatible with all MCX upper receivers, fully ambidextrous magazine release, safety selector and bolt catch, two-stage match trigger, a cold hammer-forged carbon steel barrel, a SIG designed compensating muzzle brake, M-Lok accessory rail and built-in Arca rail for tripod mounting.
Additionally, the SIG Sauer MCX-REGULATOR chambered in 5.56 mm NATO is available in with a factory installed three-MOA ROMEO2 optic (SKU: RMCXR-556N-16B-RX2).
The MCX-REGULATOR rifle model chambered in 5.56 mm NATO has a 16-inch barrel with 1:7-inch twist, while the 7.62×39 mm model’s barrel is the same length, but with a 1:9½-inch twist.
In addition, the new SIG Sauer MCX-REGULATOR rifle ships with a 10-round polymer magazine.
