Preview: Browning Recoil Hawg Muzzle Brake
Rifle shooting is best spent behind a gun that is tuned for ease of use, and Browning offers its Recoil Hawg muzzle brake to aid in the experience by effectively dampening recoil up to 76 percent.
The new-for-2021 Browning Recoil Hawg is a universal design that, not only supports barrels less than .30 caliber, the multi-port brake has the capability of attaching to guns with muzzles threaded 5/8-24 and 1/2-28 TPI. Browning includes top and side ports that direct gasses up and away to reduce muzzle rise. The underside is closed to help reduce dust signature.
Browning utilizes all-steel construction for its Recoil Hawg and offers three variants, Burnt Bronze Cerakote, Matte Black and Stainless Steel finishes. The overall length measures 2.2” and the unit’s width comes to 1”. All told the Recoil Hawg will add 1.6 ozs. to the installed barrel. Thread adapters and an installation tool ships with the brake.
