Preview: Burris RT-3 Prism Sight
Between its fixed 3X magnification, 33.8 mm objective lens and small but information-dense reticle, the RT-3 from Burris is a prismatic riflescope that affords the shooter an uncommonly generous and uncluttered field of view that is perfect for tactical and competitive applications.
Compact and light for a prism sight, the RT-3’s one-piece aluminum housing—which includes an integral Picatinny rail mount—measures just 3.5″ long, and the sight weighs only 8.5 ozs.
The Ballistic 3X reticle incorporates both a center horseshoe for the quick acquisition of close targets and windage and elevation holdover lines for mid-range shot placement, and the sight can be illuminated to any one of seven brightness settings by the included CR2032 battery.
