Preview: GG&G Mossberg 930 Side Saddle Shell Holder
Capacity has always been a primary limitation of the tubular-magazine scattergun, so GG&G produces a line of high-quality side-saddle shell holders—compatible with many popular 12-ga. shotgun platforms—that allow an additional half-dozen shotshells to be carried conveniently on the side of the firearm.
Designed to be installed to the left side of the receiver, the shell holder intended for use with Mossberg’s autoloading 930 series of shotguns is secured via a pair of elongated screws that replace the gun’s factory trigger housing pins. The 6061-T6 aluminum unit features a non-marring backing plate, and it allows for ammunition to be stored either base up or base down.
