Preview: Turnbull Restoration Red Dot Mounts
Best known for its museum-quality firearm finishes, Turnbull Restoration has developed three red-dot mounts that allow owners of classic Winchester lever-action rifles to reap the benefits of fast target acquisition using Docter-pattern MRDs.
Options include receiver- and barrel-mounted designs for the Model 1892/94 in black-anodized aluminum, and a receiver mount for Model 71/86 rifles in either black-anodized aluminum or charcoal-blued, color-casehardened or hot-blued steel. Receiver-mount models require drilled and tapped holes spaced 0.406″ apart, and the barrel-mount design fits into the factory rear-sight dovetail.
