Product Preview: KynSHOT RB5022
Mostly known for making a variety of hydraulic recoil buffers tuned to a multitude of AR-platform rifle configurations, KynSHOT also offers a version compatible with Rock Island Armory’s popular VR80 semi-automatic shotgun that provides many of the same advantages—including decreased felt recoil and muzzle rise, increased reliability and an extended service life.
The RB5022 is a drop-in replacement for the factory buffer and is constructed of 17-4 stainless steel throughout, and all of its internal hydraulic fluids and seals meet mil-spec requirements.
Testing found that the RB5022 dampened both the impact of the VR80’s bolt as it reached the rear of its travel and again when the bolt returned to battery. MSRP is $159.
