Ruger Launches SR1911 Target Model

Ruger announced the launch of a new Target model of the popular SR1911, featuring a number of upgrades.
The SR1911 Target is a full-sized Government model 1911 with a 5-inch barrel and features a Bomar-style fully-adjustable rear sight with an extended ambidextrous manual safety. The gun also features a satin stainless-steel finish with blackened controls and textured G10 laminate grips.

The gun, like other SR1911s, are completely American made and feature a Series 70 firing system with a lowered and flared ejection port, titanium firing pin and a precision barrel and bushing that are match-machined from the same piece of bar stock. The pistols also feature an integral plunger tube, beavertail grip safety, oversized magazine release and a skeletonized hammer and trigger.
The Ruger SR1911 Target comes with one eight-round magazine and one seven-round magazine, a bushing wrench and a cable-lock device. Suggested retail price on the new Target model is $1,019.
