A Tulsa, Okla., homeowner shot and killed a trespasser who approached him and eventually attacked him with trimming shears, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
At 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2023, the homeowner was working in his yard when an unknown man allegedly approached him. The two got into an argument, and the suspect backed the homeowner into the corner of a garage. The homeowner told the man to leave several times, and that’s when the alleged trespasser attacked him with lawn trimming shears.

The homeowner was able to escape the attack and armed himself before demanding that the assailant leave the property. The man allegedly turned to leave, only to once again resume his attack using the shears. The homeowner opened fire, shooting and killing the assailant. (News On 6; Tulsa, Okla.; 6/11/23)

Three men arrived for an appointment at the Winchester, Ind., coin shop of Leon Hendrickson carrying pistols in an apparent robbery attempt. But in the scuffle which followed, Hendrickson’s wife shot one of the intruders fatally with a pistol, and her husband held another suspect at bay with a shotgun.
