An armed citizen in Brentwood, Calif., defended himself from two armed individuals who were allegedly attempting to break into his vehicle on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Early that morning, the victim noticed two men allegedly attempting to break into his vehicle sitting in the driveway. He went out to confront the suspects, and one of the alleged burglars opened fire on the victim. The victim was also armed, and he returned fire, shooting three or four rounds at the suspects. The two men immediately fled the scene in a blue BMW convertible.

The victim wasn’t injured in the altercation, and police are still searching for the two suspects. (CBS Bay Area, Brentwood, Calif., 4/2/23)

Frank Guido was in the back of his Bronx liquor store when two bandits brandishing guns herded his clerk to the rear. Guido picked up his .38-cal. revolver from a shelf, tucked it in the belt under his sweater and awaited the gunmen. “These bums told the clerk and me to lie on the floor,” said Guido. “Then one of them said, ‘Get up and open the register!’” Guido got up, pulled his gun and started firing.
