A homeowner in Los Angeles, Calif., defended himself when a stranger allegedly tried to stab him on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022. The homeowner was in his front yard around 9 p.m. that evening, when a stranger approached. The unknown man walked onto the homeowner’s property, produced a knife, then charged towards the homeowner.

In response to this, the homeowner produced a firearm and opened fire on his would-be attacker. The homeowner’s shots hit their mark, wounding the intruder, who then fled the scene immediately afterward. He managed to make it nearly a quarter a mile from the home, before he eventually collapsed and died from his wounds. The homeowner was uninjured during the altercation. Three would-be burglars got a surprise after they had broken into a home in Edinburg, Texas, when a 66-year-old female resident in that home opened fire with a rifle. One intruder was wounded by rifle fire, and another was hospitalized for cuts suffered when he attempted to make a rapid exit through a window. All three suspects were taken into police custody, and two were charged with burglary of a habitation. (The Valley Morning Star, Harlington, Texas)
