A Houston, Texas, woman defended herself when an intruder allegedly kicked in the door to her residence on May 30, 2022.

The woman had moved to the apartment to get away from the man, who was an alleged stalker. The man kicked in the front door to the apartment that Monday evening and managed to make it inside. However, the woman was prepared for the threat and armed herself with a firearm. During the confrontation inside the apartment, the woman fired at least one round at her suspected stalker.

When police arrived after the incident, they found the intruder deceased from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Police also found visible damage to her door frame from the intruder’s violent entry. (foxnews.com, New York, N.Y., 06/05/2022)

When her daughter frantically told Sandra Valencia that a burglar was breaking into their Harris County, Texas, home, the fact that the 26-year-old mother was in the shower didn’t slow her response. Telling her daughter to call police when she grabbed her revolver, Valencia confronted the intruder in the kitchen. When the burglar hefted a bar stool, the housewife lifted her revolver and fired, fatally wounding the criminal. (The Chronicle, Houston, Texas)
