A homeowner in West Chester, Ohio, was forced to take matters into his own hands when a man allegedly broke in and assailed another resident on May 28, 2022.

The homeowner was at the residence with another that Saturday morning, when around 4 a.m., an intruder forced his way into the home. The commotion startled the residents, who were then confronted inside the home by the intruder. Grabbing one of the residents, the intruder dragged them out of the house and into the front yard, where he began to pummel them.

Reacting to the worsening situation, the homeowner retrieved a firearm from inside the home, rushed outside and opened fire on the assailant. His shots were on their mark and subdued the man. When her daughter frantically told Sandra Valencia that a burglar was breaking into their Harris County, Texas, home, the fact that the 26-year-old mother was in the shower didn’t slow her response. Telling her daughter to call police while she grabbed her revolver, Valencia confronted the intruder in the kitchen.
