The research confirms that anti-gun members of Congress aren’t interested in actually addressing violent crime; they’re just trying to deflect the blame on law-abiding gun owners.

In addition to the egregious comprehensive firearm ban introduced in the Illinois state Senate, anti-gun bills have been introduced in the state House of Representatives as well.

On January 29th, the Washington state House Committee on Civil Rights & Judiciary will be hearing House Bill 1315 to increase the red tape for law-abiding citizens to apply for a Concealed Pistol License.

The bills, H.R. 8 and S. 42, are being misleadingly described as simply requiring background checks on all sales of firearms, but this is just a small part of what these overbroad pieces of legislation would do.

BIG THANKS TO THE REPUBLICANS, WHO ALL VOTED CORRECTLY: Matt Fariss, Mike Webert, Nick Frietas, and Jeffrey Campbell.

These ERPO or RED FLAG laws do absolutely nothing to target criminals, illegally owned guns, or issues with mental health. Most important, red flag laws will do nothing to save lives! However, what red flag laws will do is violate an individual’s rights.

Governor Janet Mills has nominated Michael Sauschuck, the former Portland Police Chief, and long-time opponent of gun rights who served as a board member for the Maine Citizens Against Handgun Violence and the Maine Gun Safety Coalition. During his time as Portland Chief of Police, Sauschuck testified in opposition to Constitutional Carry, and appeared together with national gun control advocate Gabby Giffords to support the Universal Background Check initiative rejected by voters.

Anti-gun bills will be heard on January 21st at 10:00AM by the Washington state Senate Committee on Law & Justice and by the House Committee on Civil Rights & Judiciary on January 22nd at 10:00AM.

Any senator who cares anything about the Second Amendment will oppose Barr’s confirmation.

Pittsburgh’s gun owners – and perhaps gun owners in other Pennsylvania municipalities – may soon be fighting to vindicate their Second Amendment rights.
