Hawke Optics announced a new riflescope that offers a medium-range zoom and reticles for .223 Rem. and .308 Win. cartridges. Part of the company’s Vantage 30 WA lineup, the new scope offers a 4-12x magnification range with a 42mm objective lens.

Designed with an AR-style rifle in mind, the company is offering its Marksman reticle specifically configured for the .223 and .308 rounds. It is designed to have a 100-yard zero with cross-type aiming points for fast holdover shots at 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 yards. These reticles are illuminated in both red and green and at multiple brightness levels. Both the center point and the holdover marks are illuminated. It is a second focal plane scope.

The elevation adjustment range is 130 MOA with ¼-MOA increments. Windage has the same range of adjustments, also in ¼-MOA increments. The exposed turrets do lock to help prevent accidental zero shifts when moving through brush or the woods to your shooting location.

Hawke Optics uses lenses in this scope that are multi-coated to help improve optical clarity while reducing the effects of glare, haze and other issues. Hawke Optics nitrogen purges the scope during manufacturing. This scope is 13 inches in length and weighs in at just under 20 ounces. At its widest, the scope offers a 38.9-foot field of view at 100 yards. Zoomed in at 12x, the field of view at 100 yards narrows to 9.8 feet.

The company supplies you with an instruction manual, an alignment booklet, lens covers and a cleaning cloth with the scope. It carries a suggested retail price of $329.
