Taylor’s And Company, based in Winchester, VA, are announcing the product launch of their new full-size government framed tactical 1911 pistol, chambered in 10mm. This new 10mm version is the latest handgun to join Taylor And Company’s 1911 product offerings. Specifically, this new full-size handgun will join Taylor’s And Company’s 9mm full size offering.

The full size 10mm Taylor’s & Company 1911 is a government size steel framed general-purpose hand gun—this gun is suitable for self defense, carry, plinking or shooting competitions. The 1911 was the United States’ official service pistol for several decades. At home, this gun became the darling of competitors and lawmen thanks to its easy-shooting trigger and natural pointing frame geometry.

Out of the box, this handgun includes a fiber optic sight, which aids in rapid target acquisition. Furthermore, it also ships with ambidextrous safeties, a feature that was once custom installed by gunsmiths on 1911 pistols. And speaking of which, this handgun also includes an upswept beavertail safety, skeletonized trigger and non-spurred “Commander” style hammer. Like the ambidextrous safeties, these are all accessories that required extra trips to the gunsmith’s bench once upon a time. This gun also has a utilitarian parkerized finished, the same type of finish found on military 1911s. While it is not as “fancy” as a Cerakote job, with the proper care and maintenance it can hold its own while also developing a beautiful patina. In conjunction with the classic finish, this gun also features the straight and narrow classically styled 1911 slide serrations.
