The American-made MAX has a shock-absorbing 34″ composite polyglass handle and a 3-lb., 8-oz., Hudson Bay-pattern, forged-steel axe head that features a striking surface and an integral socket to which the following can be affixed: shovel, pick, broad pick, mattock blade and McLeod combination rake/hoe. Six lock pins are included along with an embossed leather sheath and a Velcro-closing Cordura nylon carrying case that slides onto the handle, allowing the whole kit to be carried with one hand.
